Washington. April 28. INTERFAX-The American company SpaceX plans to launch another batch of 60 Starlink Internet satellites into orbit on Wednesday, the specialized website Spaceflight Now reported.
The launch of the Falcon 9 heavy launch vehicle with mini-satellites to replenish the orbital grouping of the global Internet coverage of the Starlink system is expected to be carried out at 00: 05 East Coast time (07: 05 Moscow time) from the 40th launch complex at the Cape Canaveral cosmodrome (Florida).
This will be the 25th launch of a group of Internet satellites since May 2019 as part of the Starlink project. SpaceX's orbital constellation already consists of 1,443 spacecraft. The previous batch of 60 Starlink satellites was launched on April 7.
The company is currently the largest satellite operator in the world.
