The pilots of the Su-27 fighter jets of the Baltic Fleet Naval Aviation unit played a training battle with the planes of a simulated enemy over the Kaliningrad region.
As reported in the information support department of the press service of the Baltic Fleet Air Defense Department, the training on the protection of Russian airspace was planned. According to her plan, the planes of the imaginary enemy, which violated the state border of Russia, tried to launch a missile and bomb attack on strategically important military facilities.
Having received a signal about the invasion of unidentified aircraft into the country's airspace, the Su-27 fighters took off to intercept, found and identified the aircraft of the imaginary enemy and destroyed them during the air battle.
More than ten crews of Su-27 aircraft of the Baltic Fleet participated in the training. They worked out the accelerated preparation of fighters for departure, performed paired takeoffs and electronic launches of guided missiles at air targets. Flights were carried out both during the day and at night.
