Moscow. April 25. INTERFAX-Warships, submarines, support vessels, as well as units of coastal units and air defense troops involved in interspecific command and staff exercises (KShU) to resolve crisis situations in the Arctic, have returned to their permanent locations, the Northern Fleet (SF) said on Sunday.
"The forces and troops of the fleet involved in the KShU have returned to the points of permanent deployment," the report says.
More than 20 ships and vessels of the Kola Flotilla of heterogeneous forces, submarine forces, a division of missile ships and an auxiliary fleet were involved in working out the tasks of the exercises in the Barents Sea, the report said.
"According to the assessment given by the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, the North Sea soldiers successfully coped with the tasks of the first interspecific command and staff exercise to resolve crisis situations in the Arctic," the SF headquarters informs.
According to him, " currently, the forces and troops of the Northern Fleet are transferred to the daily mode of service."
