A video of a "hurricane" take-off of a US Air Force CV-22B Osprey tiltrotor from the helipad of Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge, UK, has appeared online.
The jets from the tiltrotor propellers scattered the multi-layer rubber coating of the medical airfield around the area. Seeing what had happened, the American aviators thought it best to leave as soon as possible.
What the combat tiltrotor did on the territory of the world-famous training hospital is not reported. The extent of the damage caused to the hospital is also unknown. Among other things, Addenbrooke's Hospital is one of the largest trauma centers in the East of England.
