In Russia, at the GS Group plant in Gusev (Kaliningrad region) A project to localize the production of electronic devices and components has been launched.
GS Group and Philax Group of companies ("Philax") were engaged in the production of computer components and peripherals.
In particular, the production of the Russian Philax motherboard based on the AMD B450 chipset has begun. In addition, the Philax group of companies promised to present motherboards for the Russian processors "Elbrus" and "Baikal" next year.
The motherboard developed in Russia on the AMD B450 chipset has a number of differences from foreign analogues. Representatives of government agencies will evaluate the possibility of installing a trusted download module, which provides the system with additional protection.
The motherboard received PS/2 connectors and supports COM connection (it is possible to output the connector to the case). At the same time, the motherboard supports the AMD AM4 Ryzen processor family, DDR4 RAM up to 128 GB, has four USB 3.1 Gen1 ports, four SATA 3 6.0 and two USB 2.0.
At the initial stage, it is planned to produce at least 40,000 Philax motherboards, which will be included in the list of products of the Unified Register of Russian Radio-electronic Products in May this year. It is also reported that the companies plan to release up to 50,000 monitors, motherboards for monoblock and compact Barebone systems, and a touch panel for educational institutions.
"An ecosystem of developers and manufacturers of the most complex electronic devices and solutions for the civil market is gradually forming on the territory of Russia, which significantly accelerates the transition of our country's critical information infrastructure to domestic technologies and products. The development of the internal production chain allows developers to implement innovations faster, shortens the path from an idea to a ready-made solution, " said Fyodor Boyarkov, Director of Production Development at GS Group.
