Within the framework of the test tactical exercises, the military personnel of the units of the signal troops and mobile communication nodes (PUS) of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) organized a stable secure communication between the units, command posts and ships performing tasks at sea ranges.
At the first stage of the exercise, the servicemen established communication via satellite, radio and radio relay channels between the PUS and stationary communication nodes. To perform this task, the CFl signalmen used a mobile medium-power radio station R-161A2M, a mobile digital radio relay station R-419MP, as well as a complex of hardware telegraph (P-238TK) and telephone (P-244TN) communications.
In addition, the signalmen worked out a set of measures for engineering equipment and masking positions, conducted a simulation of the deployment of mobile communication stations, and laid cable lines for transmitting combat control signals.
The press service of the Southern Military District noted that during the exercise, specialists organized interaction with the control points of ships when detecting surface and air targets, with further issuance of data on the situation and target designations for the use of weapons. The military personnel organized and prepared communication channels on previously unused frequencies using new software and third-generation radio communications (radio stations R-171, R-173, R-134).
In total, more than 200 servicemen of the CFl signal troops take part in combat training events, and more than 15 units of special military equipment are involved.
