On Friday, April 16, the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation reported on the American strategic reconnaissance aircraft RC-135. It barraged over the Pacific Ocean along the southeastern coast of Kamchatka.
"A MiG-31 fighter jet rose from the airfield in the Kamchatka Territory to identify it and escort it," our military said. The appearance of a Russian interceptor in the sky did not go unnoticed. The plane of the US Armed Forces turned around from the state border of the Russian Federation. And our MiG-31 safely returned to the home airfield. Later, our military posted a video of this interception on the Internet.
The National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation stressed that the flight of the fighter was carried out in strict accordance with international rules for the use of airspace. He did not allow violations of the State Border of the Russian Federation.
I must say that such provocative raids near our borders are constantly carried out by foreign planes. Americans are particularly keen on this. They have repeatedly appeared over neutral waters near the borders of the Russian Federation, not only in the Far Eastern sky, but also over the Baltic and the Black Sea. American attempts to conduct reconnaissance were also recorded in the northern seas.
In order to drive away their planes, the Russian command has to raise interceptor fighters from the air defense forces on duty. Their crews in such cases always act harshly, but in strict accordance with international rules. Therefore, all incidents ended with the uninvited visitors leaving our border.
