TSAMTO, April 15. The crews of the newest corvettes "Sharp" and "Zealous" after the stage of theoretical training at the Joint Training Center of the Navy in St. Petersburg begin to practice practical actions on training and training complexes as part of the ship's combat crews.
The crew of the project 20380 "Sharp" corvette, which is being built at the Amur Shipyard, is formed in the Pacific Fleet. The crew of the project 20380 "Zealous" corvette, which is being built at the Severnaya Verf enterprise in St. Petersburg, is formed in the Black Sea Fleet.
According to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, in accordance with the instructions of the Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, the emphasis in the training of corvette crews is made on the acquisition of stable practical skills by personnel, as well as on the operation of modern models of equipment and weapons that have a high degree of automation.
For the purpose of effective training, the programs of the Joint Training Center of the Navy are being improved synchronously with the development of scientific and technological progress in the domestic shipbuilding industry.
Earlier, the crews of the newest mine defense ships of the project 12700 "Pyotr Ilyichev" and "Georgy Kurbatov", as well as the patrol ship of the project 22160 "Sergey Kotov" completed a full cycle of training at the Joint Naval Training Center in St. Petersburg.
During the training cycle, on the specialized training complex "Regel", the watch officers and specialists of the navigational combat units of the trained crews studied in practice the elements of the ship's navigation in narrowness, near the coast, episodes of maneuvering at odds with ships and vessels in the area of heavy shipping, in poor visibility, as well as in stormy conditions.
In the class of diesel units, the personnel of the ships practiced the actions for launching the propulsion system and auxiliary equipment, as well as the algorithms for preparing the ship for battle and campaign.
Also, during the training process, a modern training complex "Bridge-2000" was used, where the actions of the ship's combat crew "the main command post of the ship-the combat information post – navigator"were practiced.
Training and training complexes, where the military personnel of the new ships are trained, allow you to simulate the situation within the walls of the training center, as close as possible to the conditions of navigation in certain sea areas.
After the completion of the training cycle in the Joint Training Center of the Navy, the crews are ready for most indicators to operate the ship when leaving (entering) the base, when sailing in the open sea in various hydrometeorological conditions.
"More than 15 crews of surface ships of various classes being built for the Russian Navy will undergo comprehensive training at the Joint Naval Training Center in St. Petersburg in 2021," the Navy Commander-in-Chief, Admiral Nikolai Evmenov, said earlier following a working meeting that discussed issues of surface shipbuilding this year.
