Moscow. April 15. INTERFAX-The Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation conducted an exercise on the use of electronic warfare units (EW) in the Arctic zone, the press service of the fleet reported on Thursday.
"EW specialists conducted an exercise to detect, block radio sources, intercept data and disrupt the control system of a simulated enemy in the Arctic," the report says.
The exercises were conducted by units of a separate EW center of the Northern Fleet, which were alerted in the Murmansk region. The maneuvers took place as part of a control check that takes place in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
"The EW units worked out measures to bring them to the highest levels of combat readiness, made a 100-kilometer march on standard equipment on the off-road, working out the element of repelling an attack by a sabotage and reconnaissance group of a conditional enemy. Arriving in the designated area, the military personnel of the EW center deployed the Murmansk-BN complex and provided its protection and defense, " the Northern Fleet said.
