Specialists in electronic warfare of the 49th Army of the Southern Military District for the first time used the latest complex "Field-21" in the system of the reconnaissance and strike circuit. The impenetrable interference dome allows you to control the airspace within a radius of more than 50 kilometers.
According to the press service of the Southern Military District, about 1.5 thousand servicemen and about 200 units of military equipment took part in the combat training events. During the exercises, the issues of countering the swarm of reconnaissance and attack drones were worked out.
The "Field-21" complex is a unified radio interference module of the "spatially distributed cover system". One radio interference station can accommodate from one to three modules, the energy potential of each of which varies in the range from 300 to 1000 Watts. The power consumed by the radio interference control equipment is estimated by the developer at 600 watts.
As a result, the "impenetrable dome" suppresses the equipment signals that go through various satellite channels-GPS (USA), Beidou (China) and Galileo (EU). Thus, in addition to drones, the electronic warfare system is able to deal with cruise missiles and aircraft bombs.
The exercises also used the automated jamming station R-934BMV and the electronic warfare system "Silok-01".
