Uran-9 autonomous robot»
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the first unit equipped with combat robots will be formed in the Russian army in the near future. According to the head of the General Staff of the Ground Forces V. Tonkoshurov, we are talking about five "Uran-9" robocomplexes developed by specialists of 766 UPTK (Nakhabino, Moscow region). In total, the unit will receive two dozen combat vehicles.
The place of the future deployment of the unit is one of the SIC of the Ministry of Defense, on the basis of which specialists in the management of robotic strike complexes will be trained in the future. The Uran-9 combat autonomous robotic crawler system was put into service two years ago. It is equipped with a diesel-electric installation, is able to reach speeds of up to 35 km / h and operate at a distance of up to 3 km from the control point. Until now, these devices have been used only in the form of single systems. The weapons of the Uran-9 are the Ataka guided weapons system, a 30-mm 2A72 automatic gun, a 7.62-mm PKTM machine gun, and a Bumblebee-M rocket-propelled infantry flamethrower. It can also install a smoke screen and detect tanks at a distance of 6 km during the day and 3 km at night.
