Russian Su-34 fighter-bombers have received new suspended universal reconnaissance systems. As a result, the strike capabilities of the "4++" generation aircraft have significantly increased, and it is now possible to conduct combat operations in a single information space.
Special suspension equipment was developed within the framework of the "Sych" program. Depending on the modification, the containers received the designation UKR-OE - for conducting optoelectronic reconnaissance, UKR-RL - for radar reconnaissance and UKR-RT - for radio engineering.
The first reports about the new product appeared in 2015, and five years later, bloggers managed to photograph the Su-34 with a reconnaissance container. The body of the five-meter container had a cylindrical shape with two fairings at the ends.
The new UKR significantly increases the Su-34's ability to detect surface and ground targets, as well as high-precision determination of coordinates and other parameters of equipment.
According to RIA Novosti, the containers allow you to automatically transmit data over a secure communication channel from the aircraft to ground forces in real time, which makes it possible to use the Su-34 as part of interspecific reconnaissance and strike systems.

Adopted in 2014, the Su-34 fully demonstrated its combat potential in Syria. Among the advantages of the machine are a range of up to 4000 thousand kilometers and a maximum speed of up to 1.9 thousand kilometers per hour. The Su-34 is capable of carrying up to eight tons of payload and using an unprecedented range of weapons: 16 types of high-precision guided and 19 types of unguided.
