Moscow. April 11. INTERFAX - Combat crews of S-400 anti-aircraft missile systems (SAMs), which are in service with the air defense forces of the Northern Fleet, will practice live firing at the Ashuluk training ground near Astrakhan, the press service of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation reports.
"In the course of combat shooting, which will be the main test of the combat readiness of the polar rocket men, the air defense soldiers of the Northern Fleet will work out the defeat of target missiles that simulate various air targets. The shooting will take place next week, " the report says.
Divisions of several anti-aircraft missile regiments of the Kola Air Defense unit have already marched from the Arctic to the Astrakhan region and set up a tent camp there, the press service said.
"The actions of the subordinate servicemen will be evaluated by the command of the air Defense division and the flagship specialists of the association of the Air Force and air defense of the Northern Fleet," the message reads.
