MOSCOW, 10 Apr-RIA Novosti. The frigate of the Northern Fleet of the Russian Federation "Admiral Kasatonov" will work out the search for submarines in the Norwegian Sea, the press service of the fleet reported.
"A detachment of ships and support vessels of the Northern Fleet, led by the frigate Admiral of the Kasatonov Fleet, entered the Norwegian Sea. Within a few days, the sailors will work out a passing search for submarines with the help of onboard sonar equipment, as well as ensure the safety of Russian fishermen in the fishing areas," the report says.
It is noted that the "Admiral Kasatonov" returns to Severomorsk from the first long-distance campaign in the Mediterranean Sea, which began on December 30.
"The crew will still have to work out a number of combat training tasks in the Barents Sea, after which the ship will arrive at the main base of the Northern Fleet - Severomorsk," the report says.
