The crew of the diesel-electric submarine "Veliky Novgorod" from the separate brigade of submarines of the Black Sea Fleet (Black Sea Fleet) conducted an exercise in the fight for survivability at the base point.
Before going to sea, the personnel conducted a survivability exercise as part of a control check for the winter training period.
According to the plan of the exercise, the press service of the Southern Military District notes, during the parking at the mooring wall at the base point on the submarine, a conditional fire occurred in one of the compartments.
During the fight for survivability, the crew fulfilled the standards for sealing the emergency compartment, putting on personal protective equipment, creating defense lines, localizing and extinguishing a fire in the compartment. The interaction of the personnel of the emergency compartment with the central post was also worked out.
After completing the training, the crew of the submarine" Veliky Novgorod " continued to perform their tasks in accordance with the control check plan.
