In June of this year, the Russian military will conduct experimental exercises using the Terminator-2 tank support combat vehicle at the Chebarkul training ground. The tactics of their use together with tank units and in separate directions will be tested.
Major General Kirill Kulakov, head of the Kazan Higher Tank Command School of the Red Banner, said this in an interview with the Red Star . He recalled that the new BMPT is armed with two 30-mm automatic guns and a block of modern guided anti-tank missiles. "Terminator-2" has not only artillery power, but also high mobility.
According to the Major General, the machine is a full-fledged combat complex, being a platform based on a tank. The Terminator-2's armament is capable of dealing with both aerial enemies and ground targets, reinforced with armor, as well as long-term firing points.
Recall that in April, tests of "smart" projectiles with remote detonation for the Terminator BMPT will begin. They should be ready by the end of next year. The use of such ammunition will allow the complex to more effectively cope with protected ground targets and aircraft.
