MOSCOW, April 7. /TASS/. Final control checks have begun in more than 80 units of the Strategic Missile Forces (RVSN), the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.
"During the inspections, missile regiments, support and security units work out measures to bring them to the highest levels of combat readiness, solve the tasks of putting missile regiments on combat patrol routes, work out joint tasks of engineering support, radiation, chemical and biological protection," the report says.
The tests are based on the results of the winter training period. "In total, more than 15 thousand military personnel and about 3 thousand pieces of equipment will be involved in the inspections following the results of the training period in the RVSN," the agency informs.
It is noted that under the leadership of the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Colonel-General Sergei Karakayev, a control complex check of the Omsk missile association was conducted with command and staff exercises (KSHU), in which the Barnaul missile compound (Altai Territory) was involved. "More than 3 thousand military personnel and about 300 pieces of equipment were involved in these exercises," the press release says.
It is noted that after the completion of the KSHU in the Altai Territory, as part of a comprehensive control check conducted under the leadership of the commander of the Omsk Missile Association, large-scale exercises with the Novosibirsk missile compound will take place.
"The command of the Strategic Missile Forces conducts scheduled inspections of formations and military units equipped with mobile missile systems "Yars". The exercises and control classes should show the real state of combat and mobilization readiness, combat training, as well as the level of development of weapons, military and special equipment, " the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reports.

At the same time, it is noted that in the compounds equipped with other types of missile systems, checks will also be carried out. "Under the leadership of the commander of the Vladimir Missile Association, a command and staff exercise will be held with the Bologovsky missile compound (Tver region). In addition, missile formations under the leadership of division commanders undergo control checks of missile regiments, security and support units, " the report says.
"Also, the units of the Strategic Missile Forces are improving the practical actions of anti-sabotage groups to detect and destroy conditional sabotage and reconnaissance formations. The engineering units carry out tasks of exploring the routes of the columns, including with the use of modern equipment, comprehensive provision of field areas with the deployment of integrated water treatment stations and the installation of heavy mechanical bridges over water barriers, " the Ministry of Defense informs.
According to the military department, " the purpose of control checks is to assess the coherence of practical actions of units and divisions, the skills of command, military personnel in the course of performing tasks for their intended purpose in any conditions of the situation and time of day, as well as the organization and implementation of all types of support."
