MOSCOW, April 6. /TASS/. The government expects to increase the efficiency of the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and the entire Russian aviation industry, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Yuri Borisov said after visiting the production site of the UAC LAZ named after P. A. Voronin in Lukhovitsy.
"I probably assume that both the government and the president expect to increase the efficiency of the Russian aviation industry in general and the UAC in particular as the main developer and manufacturer of Russian aircraft," he said.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that at the moment there are certification tests of the MS-21, IL-114 and Il-112. He also recalled that work is underway to create light-engine aircraft L-410, L-610 and the aircraft "Baikal". "All this is done in order to fulfill the president's instructions and ensure that the regions of the Russian Federation are connected as quickly as possible," he said.
At the same time, if all the system processes in the UAC are established, this may affect the increase in the volume of aircraft production, which, in turn, will lead to an improvement in the infrastructure stability of Russia, the Deputy Prime Minister believes.
"We need to think about only one thing today: the problem of import substitution in the conditions of the imposed and, perhaps, still planned sanctions is reaching the first level. And how quickly we will complete all our projects, put on the wing the aircraft that I spoke about, and, perhaps, revise our production programs in the direction of increasing, depends, in fact, the infrastructure stability of the Russian Federation, " Borisov said.
Relocation of design bureaus
The relocation of designers and re-registration of design bureaus in other regions is not planned in the light of the optimization of the UAC, Borisov said.
"All talk about moving the design bureau to other cities should, first, be excluded and stopped. No one will allow such stupidity. Everyone is calmly working in their places, " he said.
He stressed that the concept of restructuring the UAC is evolutionary in nature, that is, the divisional structure will remain. "RSC MiG and Sukhoi will be added to the management company of PJSC UAC in order to switch to a two-tier management system. All this is done in order to optimize and reduce not the production staff, but the management staff. And this should lead to a reduction in the cost of [creating aircraft], " Borisov explained.
He added that the head of Rostec, Sergey Chemezov, as chairman of the Board of Directors of UAC, " will ensure stability to these processes." At the same time, Anatoly Serdyukov (who holds the post of industrial director of the Rostec aviation cluster) will focus on the problems of import substitution in KRET, UEC and Russian Helicopters, the Deputy Prime Minister said.
Earlier, Rostec reported that the engineering and design functions of the group will be allocated to a separate center, which will be located in Moscow - it will include all aviation design bureaus.
