Chinese television published an interesting report from the aircraft carrier "Shandong".
This is the first detailed account of the life of a huge ship. It shows the take-offs of carrier-based fighters, the work of anti-aircraft systems - in particular, the spectacular explosions of short-range missiles were captured in the frame. The crew visited the huge hangar under the deck, where the sailors showed the chains that attach the aircraft to the deck, and on the bridge. The steering wheel of the 315-meter aircraft carrier is small, like a sports car.
The plot shows the communications control room, the ship's "Internet cafe" - from where, if the operational situation allows, you can send a message to your family-a library, a supermarket and, of course, a galley.
The Shandong is the second aircraft carrier of the PLA Navy and the first built in China. The project is Soviet, 1143.5, but with significant innovations. Heavy weapons were dismantled, the "island" was reduced, and instead there were additional tanks for jet fuel, ammunition, and an area for eight planes and helicopters. The ship is equipped with an upgraded radar with AFAR.
