Hong Kong. April 4. INTERFAX-The South Korean company Korea Aerospace Industries Co. (KAI) said on Sunday that it intends to develop its own transport and multi-purpose aircraft for the needs of the army, the Yonhap news agency reported.
"Currently, the army, Navy and Air Force are armed with 30 multi-purpose and 70 transport aircraft. Our goal is to replace imported aircraft with domestic ones and, in the long term, enter foreign markets with our own aircraft, " Ryu Kwang-soo, Executive Vice President of the company, told the agency.
