According to the expert, the low-profile bomber will serve as a carrier of subsonic stealth missiles and hypersonic weapons. "PAK DA will be a subsonic flying platform for the use of various types of missile systems from areas outside the enemy's air defense. These can be zones over the Pacific Ocean, zones over the Atlantic, over the North Pole, " the expert said.
In September 2019, the General Director of the Tactical Missile Weapons Corporation (KTRV), Boris Obnosov , said that " the range of our X-101 missile is still unattainable for any of our competitors."

The unobtrusive X-101 air-to-ground strategic cruise missile was developed by the Raduga Design Bureau (KB), part of the KTRV. With a launch weight of just over two tons, it is capable of delivering a warhead weighing about half a ton at a distance of up to 5.5 thousand kilometers with an accuracy of hitting the target within 15-20 meters. The missile is distinguished by the use of technologies to reduce radar visibility.
