The organization "Signal", part of the concern "Automation" of the state corporation "Rostec", robotized welding processes at the enterprise. This was reported on April 2 by the correspondent of "RIA Novosti".
It is noted that the robotic cell is designed to automate the welding process of cabinets of the automated system of commercial electricity metering (ASC).
Such a robot will allow you to perform welding work faster. For example, a robot cooks the seams of a cabinet in 5-7 minutes, while for a human, the same action will take 10 times longer.
The robot will be able to produce up to 2.5 thousand such cabinets per month. The cell can be used in the welding process in any mass production.
SPE "Signal" is also working on the creation of additional robotic devices: packaging robots, paint robots and small educational robots for students of schools, colleges and universities.
On March 27, it was reported that the head institute of Roscosmos, TsNIIMash, and the rocket and Space corporation Energia were launching work to create the first Russian humanoid robot that will go into outer space.
The robot will look like a human torso without legs and will copy the movements of the operator, who will be in a special suit on the ISS or in the Mission Control Center. However, it will be able to perform some typical operations on its own.
