A video has appeared on the Internet showing the BTR-80 of the Venezuelan army after being blown up by an anti-personnel mine. Apparently, the armored vehicle survived the incident without much damage.
The presented footage shows that as a result of the explosion, the armored personnel carrier's metal skin is bent and slightly torn off, there is a small hole in the wheel area. The wheel itself is in place, it seems that the armored personnel carrier has fully preserved its functionality.
When exactly the explosion occurred, the description of the video is not reported. It is known that this happened in the district of Alto Apure, which is located near the border with Colombia. According to the authors of the video, the mine was laid by militants of the rebel Colombian group FARC-EP.
