TSAMTO, March 30. The crew of the small rocket ship "Grad Sviyazhsk" of the Caspian Flotilla (CFl) conducted a training for the fight for the survivability of the ship on special simulators of the training complex "Caspian".
The sailors worked out theoretical and practical elements in the conditions of the UTK at two training points. At one training site, the sailors learned the theoretical foundations of the fight for survivability, the composition of the emergency supply kit, as well as the use and installation of the main types of patches: chain mail, lightweight, scupper and wooden hard plaster.
At the second training point, the personnel alternately practiced actions to localize and extinguish the fire in the ship's compartments, as well as to seal holes in the hull and eliminate the intake of seawater. In the rooms that simulate various internal ship compartments, the military personnel in conditions as close as possible to the real situation, with the actual intake of seawater and the fire of bulkheads, improved the skills and speed of meeting the standards for the rescue of the ship. Special attention was paid to the coherence of the teams ' actions in different conditions and when new introductory materials were received.
When carrying out fire extinguishing measures, the sailors trained to seal the burning compartment, prevent the spread of fire and eliminate the fires in the shortest possible time. Also during the training, the servicemen worked out the standards for installing special patches and struts when water enters through the holes. As a result, the time of sealing the holes and the level of filling the compartment with water were taken into account.
In total, about 30 servicemen of the crew of the MRK "Grad Sviyazhsk" were involved in the training, the press service of the Southern Military District reports.
