TSAMTO, March 30. A unique aircraft with a new electronic warfare system was used in a planned tactical flight exercise of the Air Force units stationed in the Trans-Baikal Territory.
During the exercise, the crew of the aircraft performed tasks on electronic suppression and disabling of the control systems of the simulated enemy, providing satellite navigation and radio communication.
In addition, with the help of special equipment, the issue of combating unmanned aerial vehicles and air defense systems of the "enemy"was worked out separately.
For reference:
The aircraft is designed for electronic warfare and is equipped with modern suppression equipment, in particular side antennas and towed transmitters, unwinding in flight for several hundred meters.
The new complex of special equipment has higher characteristics in comparison with previous similar systems. The main feature of the complex is the frequency selectivity, which ensures the preservation of the combat readiness of domestic radio-electronic systems.
The aircraft makes it possible to effectively combat long-range radar detection and control aircraft, air defense systems, as well as manned and unmanned aircraft, the press service of the Eastern Military District reports.
