TSAMTO, March 29. The rearmament of the Barnaul missile compound (Altai Territory) with the Yars mobile ground missile system will be completed by the end of 2021, the commander of the Strategic Missile Forces, Colonel-General Sergey Karakaev, said during the command and staff exercise.
According to the commander, the re-equipment of the missile division will allow to fully complete the re-equipment of the mobile group of the Omsk Missile Association.
"All divisions in Siberia equipped with mobile ground – based missile systems will receive the latest weapons," S. Karakayev said.
As previously reported, the rearmament of the Irkutsk and Novosibirsk missile formations with the Yars mobile ground missile system has been fully completed.
Along with the latest autonomous launchers "Yars", the missile units receive such unique samples of special equipment as the remote mine-clearing machine "Foliage", the engineering support and camouflage machine, the combat anti-sabotage machine "Typhoon-M", the universal thermal machines UTM-80M.
During the rearmament of the formations, the infrastructure of the missile regiments ' positional areas is also being improved, which will allow for better conditions for the operation of missile weapons, training of duty forces, combat duty and rest for personnel, according to the Department of Information and Mass Communications of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.
