In the Pskov region, at the "Strugi Krasnye" training ground, a tactical exercise will be held, in which more than one and a half thousand soldiers of the Black Sea Guards Amphibious Assault Regiment of the Pskov Airborne Forces will take part. The exercises will take place from March 30 to April 1.
The exercise involves 200 units of combat and special equipment, eight IL-76MD aircraft, two Mi-8 and Mi-24 helicopters each. According to Interfax, with reference to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, the training activities will begin with a march from the place of deployment to the airfield. There, combat vehicles will be loaded into military transport aircraft for landing.
The airborne troops, in addition to jumping, will also work out the capture of the "enemy" field airfield, and the military personnel of the reinforced parachute battalion will raid its rear, where they will find, capture and defeat the bases of illegal armed groups. They will use small arms and mortars.
