Artillery fire to suppress invisible coastal targets hidden by the terrain was conducted in the Sea of Japan by the corvette "Perfect".
The soldiers of the Pacific Fleet were performing another task as part of a planned exercise. The "battle" took place near the island of Zheltukhin. Small anti-submarine ships of the Pacific Fleet also fired at coastal, sea and air targets. Participants of the training destroyed targets that imitated enemy protected firing points and military equipment.
"The fire was fired from a 100-mm universal naval artillery installation A-190," said the head of the information support department of the press service of the Eastern Military District for the Pacific Fleet, Captain 2nd rank Nikolai Voskresensky.
