Moscow. March 28. INTERFAX-Orlan-10 military drones will monitor the fire-hazardous situation in the Kursk, Voronezh and Belgorod regions, the press service of the Western Military District reported.
"For a timely response to possible fires, special calculations of the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicle complexes have been formed, which will monitor the territory of more than 1 thousand square meters," the report says.
It is noted that in preparation for the fire-fighting period, channels of interaction with regional institutions of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation are organized.
The Orlan-10 medium-range drones are designed to conduct aerial reconnaissance and monitor the situation from the air at an altitude of up to several thousand meters at a temperature of -30 to +40 degrees. They are also able to issue target designation to strike (fire) means, block cellular communication and distort the GPS navigation field.
"Orlan-10" weighing 14 kg is capable of carrying 5 kg of payload, which includes replaceable modules with a thermal imaging camera, a color video camera on a gyro-stabilized rotary platform, a camera, and relay equipment.
