The crews of the Ka-52, Mi-28 Night Hunter, Mi-24 reconnaissance and attack helicopters, as well as the multi-purpose Mi-8, fired at ground targets from automatic aircraft guns and launched unguided aircraft missiles. The launches took place near St. Petersburg.
The flight of helicopters and the combat launch of missiles can be seen in the video provided by the press service of the Western Military District. Pilots of the Leningrad Army of the Air Force and Air Defense of the ZVO performed a flight along the route, conducting visual aerial reconnaissance, and also practiced piloting techniques.
The air training flights were held within the framework of the international competition "ArMI-2021". Their participants were flight crews of aviation formations and military units stationed in the Leningrad, Pskov and Smolensk regions.
