Yekaterinburg. March 23. INTERFAX - The crews of the Su-25SM attack aircraft of the joint Russian military base "Kant", stationed in Kyrgyzstan, worked out the elements of complex aerobatics during an exercise in the sky over the Tien Shan, the press service of the Central Military District reported on Tuesday.
"Up to 400 military personnel, ten aircraft and more than 30 vehicles were involved in the exercise," the statement said.
Russian pilots in the rarefied air of the Edelweiss test site in the Issyk-Kul region performed tasks to search for bases of a simulated enemy disguised in the folds of the mountain terrain, worked out techniques for escaping from the "blows" of its portable anti-aircraft missile systems with simultaneous data transmission to ground control points, as well as aspects of takeoff and landing in radio silence mode.
At the final stage of the exercise, the pilots carried out simulated bombing and piloting at low altitudes. At the same time, the tasks of the stormtrooper crews were performed both singly and as part of pairs and links.
