130-mm A-192M naval artillery system launched into mass production

As reported on March 22, 2021, the KORABEL web resource.EN, Saint-Petersburg JSC "Arsenal Machine-Building Plant" has successfully completed the qualification tests of the A-192M 130 mm naval artillery system and is launching mass production.

The A-192M artillery installation is designed for ships with a displacement of more than 2000 tons. Development work was completed in 2018. The product is already installed on the frigates "Admiral Gorshkov" and "Admiral Kasatonov", in the future it will be installed on ships of projects 22350 and 22350M and other ships of similar and larger classes.

A special feature of the artillery installation is a fully automated system for feeding shots. In automatic mode, without human intervention, it is able to deliver all 478 shots to the tower. The automatic feeding system has a modular structure. The number of modules can be adapted to a specific project of the ship, depending on the size of the sub-deck rooms allocated for the placement of the artillery installation.

The company has carried out all the necessary preparatory work for the launch of the A-192M artillery installation into mass production. Technological processes and necessary equipment have been created. To date, three A-192M artillery installations have been manufactured, and contracts have been signed for the production of three more products. Several contracts go through the approval stage.
