A unique simulator for training parachutists, which includes a virtual reality helmet, was created by the Technodinamika holding, part of the Rostec State Corporation. As the general director of the holding, Igor Nasenkov, told TASS in an interview, during training, a parachutist can practice jumps, both during the day and at night, in various weather conditions.
According to him, the screen displays an image of the surrounding airspace, including special effects. This allows the skydiver to visually determine the speed and direction of the wind at the surface of the earth. "Our development allows you to see the terrain, ground and air mobile and stationary objects," Nasenkov explained. He noted that all training can be carried out under different weather conditions and at different times of the day. According to Nasenkov, the holding pays great attention to investments in the development and promotion of virtual reality technologies in the production of simulators.
