MOSCOW, March 18. /TASS/. The Soyuz-2.1 a launch vehicle, which is scheduled to launch 38 satellites from 18 countries into orbit on Saturday, has passed general tests. This was announced by the Director General of Roscosmos Dmitry Rogozin.
"The work on the second launch day at Baikonur has been completed. General tests have been carried out. There are no comments. For spacecraft-the norm, " Rogozin wrote in his Telegram channel.
The head of Roscosmos said that on Friday, a pre-launch day is expected at the cosmodrome, work will go according to plan.
The launch of the Soyuz-2.1 a launch vehicle from Baikonur is scheduled for 09: 07 Moscow time on March 20. It will launch the CAS500-1 remote sensing spacecraft (Republic of Korea), the Japanese space debris removal device ELSA-d, the Japanese GRUS remote sensing satellites, the Saudi Arabia small satellite for obtaining Earth images and providing communications NAJM-1, and the communication satellites of the Technical University of Berlin. The first satellite of the Higher School of Economics (HSE) will also go into orbit from the Baikonur cosmodrome) Remote sensing, kubsat of the Sirius Center and the Higher School of Economics, as well as the Orbicraft-Zor satellite of Sputnix. This will be the first commercial launch of Glavkosmos Launch Services (part of Roscosmos).
Earlier, a source in the rocket and space industry told TASS that the rocket for launching 38 spacecraft will be in a white-blue color scheme instead of the standard gray-orange color combination. Later, Roscosmos confirmed this information.
