TSAMTO, March 12. The crews of the Terminator BMPT and T-72B3M tanks for the first time worked out joint use at the training ground near Chelyabinsk.
The practical episode was held as part of an experiment to master the latest vehicles in the combat formations of the units of the Guards Tank Division of the Central Military District.
The BMPs were put into trial operation in December 2020.
For the first time, the crews performed the tasks of supporting and covering tank crews in the offensive, acting in a single combat order. The shooting was carried out from the entire armament complex of the BMPT, which includes two 30-mm 2A42 automatic guns, a 7.62-mm Kalashnikov tank machine gun, AG-17D automatic grenade launchers and anti-tank guided missiles "Kornet".
The course of the practical action draw was checked by the Deputy Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Lieutenant General Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, the press service of the Central Military District reports.

"Terminator" is a multi-purpose, highly protected combat tracked fire support vehicle, which has powerful weapons, modern fire control devices and high maneuverability. The BMPT is capable of hitting lightly armored targets, tanks and IFVs, and together with the air defense forces, it can fight against helicopters and low-flying low-speed enemy aircraft.
