The United Shipbuilding Corporation is strengthening its position in the Kaliningrad Region.
The Northern Production Association "Arctic" opens a branch at the Baltic Shipbuilding Plant "Yantar" (part of the USC).
As part of the development program of the United Shipbuilding Corporation, Severyany will perform electrical installation work on all orders of Kaliningrad shipbuilders, the press service of the Yantar Shipyard told the Military-Industrial Courier.
In connection with the beginning of cooperation, Oleg Loginov, the head of the Arctic joint Venture, visited Kaliningrad. At the meeting with the general director of the Yantar plant, Ilya Samarin, all issues related to the joint activities of the two enterprises were discussed.
Yantar Shipyard was founded on July 8, 1945 on the basis of the Konigsberg shipyard F. Schichau. Specializes in the construction of small and medium-tonnage vessels for various purposes, as well as in ship repair work. For 75 years, the plant has built 160 warships and more than 500 civilian vessels.
