The US Air Force B-1B Lancer bomber landed for the first time in history above the Arctic Circle. It happened at the Norwegian air defense base Bude.
The visit was short: after refueling, the B-1 took to the air again.
- The bomber checked several runways in the north of the country. And we were interested to see him. We have never had such a plane, " Colonel Henning Homb told the local Bodonu newspaper.
Recall that at the end of February, three American bombers were first deployed to the Norwegian air base Orland. On March 1, they started flying.
