Moscow. March 7. INTERFAX-MiG-31 fighters of the Northern Fleet and Su-24 bombers performed training flights in the Arctic, the press service of the fleet reported.
"The fighter crews performed training flights to intercept air targets in the altitude range from extremely low to the stratosphere, and the crews of Su-24 aircraft conducted training on tactical techniques to overcome the enemy's air defense," the press service reported.
The bomber crews also practiced conducting aerial reconnaissance and carrying out missile and bomb attacks with the use of electronic warfare equipment on objects of a possible enemy, which may be located, including in mountainous areas.
A total of 14 aircraft and 20 crews were involved in the flights.
