MOSCOW, February 28-RIA Novosti. Frigate "Admiral Grigorovich" the black sea fleet (BSF) for the first time in Russia's recent history came to Port Sudan, said in Department of information support of the black sea fleet.
During the visit, it is planned to replenish the frigate's reserves, the personnel will rest after participating in the multinational naval exercise "AMAN-2021" in the Arabian Sea, which took place from 15 to 16 February.
During the maneuvers, the crews of the ships worked out interaction when repelling attacks of high-speed small-sized targets, conducted training on joint maneuvering with the formation of marching orders, and also took cargo from the supply ship on the move. In addition, the military performed anti-piracy exercises with firing from naval artillery systems, including at surface targets such as Killer Tomato at a distance of about five kilometers.
At the invitation of the Pakistani side, representatives of the armed forces of 45 countries took part in the exercises. The main objectives of the maneuvers are to strengthen and develop military cooperation between the participating countries in the interests of security and stability at sea, as well as to exchange experience in countering the threats of maritime piracy.
