Moscow. February 24. INTERFAX-The only Russian manufacturer of tanks, the concern "Uralvagonzavod" (UVZ, "Rostec"), is developing robotic combat vehicles, which should appear in the near future.
Uralvagonzavod is working on special robotic combat vehicles, their appearance is a matter of the near future, "the press service of the concern told Interfax.
The UVZ recalled that the T-14 Armata tank was tested in unmanned mode, but this combat vehicle was created for the crew.
"The T-14 tank was tested by specialists of Uralvagonzavod in unmanned mode, including performing tasks of moving along the route and reaching the designated point for firing, as well as automatically capturing targets and destroying them. The T-14 tank is designed as a crew vehicle, its use in unmanned mode is a separate special task, " the press service said.
Concern "Uralvagonzavod" has developed a heavy tracked platform "Armata". On its basis, the T-14 tank, the T-15 infantry fighting vehicle and the T-16 armored repair and evacuation vehicle were created. The equipment on the Armata platform is being tested.
