Uralvagonzavod has started mass production and supply of T-90M tanks to the Russian Defense Ministry. These are long-term contracts for a large number of cars, " the UVZ said.
On April 3, 2020, the Russian Defense Ministry announced the start of deliveries of T-90M "Proryv"tanks to the Russian army. On April 13, the press service of the Western Military District reported that the first T-90M was received by the Taman Division near Moscow.
The T-90M, in particular, has a new combat turret module and a highly automated digital fire control system. It was reported that the tank is equipped with climate control.
