Russia occupies 21 percent of the global arms market, with 47 countries among its customers. Over the past decades, a lot of advanced systems have been released, which are actively sold abroad. The National Interest named the five most outstanding.
S-400
The flagship of the world's air defense, the S-400 Triumph anti-aircraft system, was acquired by such giants of arms imports as India, China and Turkey. The contract with the latter caused a diplomatic storm in NATO and a cooling of Ankara's relations with Washington. The United States has excluded Turkey from the partner program for the F-35 fighter jet and imposed sanctions against it. In addition to its effectiveness on the diplomatic front, the Triumph is very effective in missile defense: due to its versatility and a large arsenal of specialized missiles, the complex can operate at different ranges: from the smallest to the very largest.
Su-35
One of the most advanced Russian fighters at a reasonable price has a lot of technical advantages. It can fly at supersonic speed without the use of an afterburner, has supermaneuverability - due to engines with a controlled thrust vector - and a powerful radar with an AFAR. The aircraft is equipped with an effective electronic jamming system that can divert American AIM-120 AMRAAM missiles and the like from it. The Su-35's own arsenal is represented by a universal weapon system with 12 suspension points. The first foreign customer of the fighter was China, which signed a contract for 24 aircraft in 2015.
Kalashnikov assault rifle
From the progenitor of the AK-47 series to the modern AK-12, Kalashnikov assault rifles remain one of the most popular weapons in the world. Thanks to the low production costs, simple design, legendary reliability and durability, the Kalashnikovs continue to be used in all corners of the world.
T-90S
The export version of the T-90MBT main battle tank is equipped with a 125-mm smoothbore gun, an 840-horsepower engine, a Contact-5 dynamic protection and a powerful Shtora guided ammunition suppression system. The creators of the T-90 avoid expensive things that are installed on Western counterparts to ensure a balance of firepower, durability and economic efficiency. This made the tank a bestseller in the second and third world countries, it was purchased by Azerbaijan, India, Libya and Turkmenistan.
Su-57
The fifth-generation fighter is one of Russia's most ambitious projects. This aircraft is designed to combine the best in class aerodynamic characteristics with low visibility and a powerful arsenal of the latest air-to-air and air-to-surface missiles - it can also include hypersonic ammunition. Although mass production of the aircraft began recently, the export version of the aircraft is already actively offered to potential customers - for example, India, China and Turkey.
