Kazan. February 19. INTERFAX - The ceremony of laying the hull of the thirteenth serial special purpose boat of the project 21980 was held at the Zelenodolsk Plant named after A.M. Gorky (part of the Ak Bars Shipbuilding Corporation), the press service of the corporation reported.
The two previous boats of the project were laid down at the Tatarstan shipyard in August 2020.
Despite the small displacement compared to cruisers or aircraft carriers, the ships of this class were able to solve problems in the most difficult conditions, including ensuring the security of the group of Navy ships in Syria, said then Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Navy for Weapons Igor Mukhametshin.
