Makhachkala. February 18. INTERFAX-YUG-JSC "Concern KEMZ" (Kizlyar, Dagestan) has opened a new workshop for the assembly of light-engine aircraft at its base.
"The area of the workshop already put into operation is 10 thousand square meters. Here you can find aircraft engines, gas boilers, power transformers, and products for the automotive industry. These are samples of new civilian products, " General Director of the company Ibrahim Akhmatov told the acting head of Dagestan Sergey Melikov, who arrived on Thursday to get acquainted with the production facilities of the plant.
New projects in the field of ecology and infrastructure development were also presented at the plant.
The press service of the plant told Interfax that the volume of investments for the creation of a new workshop amounted to 100 million rubles.
"The new workshop presents one light-engine aircraft MAI-411, developed jointly with the Design Bureau of the Moscow Aviation Institute (MAI). It was presented at the International Aerospace Salon (MAKS-219) and was highly appreciated by specialists. This year, CAMZ plans to complete the assembly of three more such aircraft, " the source said.
