The Baltic Fleet has launched a competition in which the military personnel of the unmanned aviation units show their skills.
During the competition, the calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles fulfill the standards for ground training of UAVs, equipment of the launch pad, piloting in various weather conditions, taking into account various introductory requirements.
Is one of the competitive task – to conduct aerial reconnaissance and correction of artillery fire. Participants will have to search for and refine the coordinates of the explored objects both during the day and at night.
In addition, UAV operators will demonstrate their skills in precision landing. The drone will need to land in a given area within the designated boundaries, preventing it from leaving the landing site.
Also, the military personnel will fulfill the standards for fire, physical and topographic training, told the "Military-Industrial Courier" in the information support department of the press service of the Western Military District for the Baltic Fleet. The calculations of the Orlan-10 and Aileron drones are taking part in the naval stage of the Falconry competition. The winners will be eligible to compete in the district stage.
