Embassy of Russia described the American-Turkish military exercises in the Black sea
The Russian Embassy in Washington, in response to the US and Turkish exercises in the Black Sea, called on the US military "not to rattle weapons" and not to interfere in the peace and security of the Black Sea. NATO previously explained its maneuvers by strengthening the Russian fleet.
The US Navy should stop "looking for excuses" for its presence in the Black Sea. This was stated by the Embassy of the Russian Federation in Washington, RIA Novosti reports.
So they commented on the message of the Sixth Fleet of the US Navy about the joint US-Turkish exercises in the Black Sea. They involved two destroyers and two P-8A reconnaissance aircraft.
According to the Russian Embassy, the Sixth Fleet "can't wait to find the enemy," and Washington is " desperately looking for excuses to increase its presence in the region."
Recall, on January 23, the US destroyer "Donald Cook" entered the Black Sea, on January 28 it was reported that the missile destroyer "Porter" is moving through the straits to the Black Sea to participate in joint exercises with the Ukrainian Navy. Against the background of the approach of American warships, the crew of the frigate of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation "Admiral Makarov" conducted a complex of ship exercises in the Black Sea.
American warships, including the "Donald Cook", regularly enter the Black Sea. In November, the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation reported that the forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet began to track the actions of the US destroyer "Donald Cook", which entered the water area on November 23.
A month before this incident, the National Defense Control Center of the Russian Federation was informed about the entry of four NATO warships into the Black Sea.
