"The special feature of the exercises is the maximum involvement of unmanned aerial vehicles, as well as artillery reconnaissance equipment, such as mobile radar systems "Zoo", "Aistenok" and "Sobolyatnik", the press service of the military department said in a statement.
At the final stage of the events, fire control training will be held with the implementation of combat launches and firing. They will involve all artillery and missile systems, including 240-mm self-propelled mortars "Tulip" and 203-mm artillery guns "Peony".
Note that the firepower of mortars of the largest caliber in the Russian army is enough to destroy reinforced concrete bunkers. The five-meter gun sends 230-kilogram mines the size of a person at a distance of 20 kilometers. In addition to conventional ammunition, the "Tulip" arsenal includes thermonuclear mines with a capacity of two kilotons.
