The Chinese company One Space Technology has successfully launched a new suborbital rocket OS-X6B. 3D printing is used for the production of media components.
The rocket was launched [...] on February 5. The launch site was the city of Chongqing, located in the southwestern part of China. The rocket is 9.4 meters long, and its components are manufactured using 3D printing technology.
Control over the flight of the launch vehicle is provided by a special tablet device. The whole process is fully computerized.
According to the representative of One Space Technology, such missiles can be used in testing new aviation and space technologies. The company's current customers include the state-owned aerospace corporation Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC).
