BEIJING, February 5. /TASS/. The unmanned spacecraft of the People's Republic of China "Tianwen-1" successfully made the fourth correction of movement on the way to Mars. As reported on Friday by the Chinese National Space Administration, it is located at a distance of about 1.1 million km from this planet and 184 million km from Earth.
The probe made a route correction at approximately 20: 00 Beijing time (15:00 Moscow time). The previous maneuvers were performed successively on August 2, September 20, and October 28 last year. All systems of the device are working normally.
Tianwen-1 was launched on July 23 using a Changzheng-5 launch vehicle from the Wenchang Space center, located in Hainan Province. In mid-February, the probe will approach Mars. The spacecraft weighs 5 tons: 1.3 tons per lander and 3.7 tons per orbiter. It is equipped with 13 modern measuring instruments.
