MOSCOW, February 5. /TASS/. Admiralty Shipyards will lay down the fifth and sixth submarines of Project 636.3 for the Pacific Fleet (TOF) in 2021. This was reported to TASS by the general director of the enterprise Alexander Buzakov.
"This year we are laying two boats of the project 636.3. The fifth and sixth of the Pacific series," he said.
He also noted that the submarines of the project 677 are not planned to be laid this year.
Earlier, Admiralty Shipyards (part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation) handed over two submarines of project 636.3 to the fleet. Two more are in different stages of construction. It is planned that by 2024, 6 non-nuclear submarines of Project 636.3 will be built for the Pacific Fleet.
Admiralty Shipyards built 6 submarines of Project 636.3 for the Black Sea Fleet. Some of them took part in the strikes with Kalibr-PL missiles from the Mediterranean Sea on terrorist targets in Syria.
In 2019, a contract was signed for the construction of two submarines of project 677, in 2020-one submarine of project 677 and one of project 636.3.
